DETOX BATH

Take a hot bath with dry brushing and magnesium chloride flakes - easiest way for it to absorb into the body. Make sure you use a brand that is free from chemicals, plastic or heavy metals. I like BetterYou, add 1 cup to your bath with essential oils such as Lavender, Rosemary, Vetiver, Myrrh, Sandlewood or Frankincense oil. Dry brushing is best done before your bath, as it opens your pores to promote sweating and to allow the essential oils to penetrate into the body. Similar affect as acupressure and acupuncture.
This is a great time for a little self-love, I like to use our CBD coconut body oil before I get into the bath. It is super hydrating and makes it easy to “Abhyanga” is Sanskrit for self-massage. This is a great way to get your lymphatic system moving, when you are sick our bodies can get a build up of toxins, this will help to flush toxins from your body. I like to start at my feet and work my way towards my heart, sometimes I will use a tool such as Gua Shau and massage my muscles with it, long strokes up your legs, arms and underneath your armpits, hitting all the lymph nodes in your body.
Make sure to drink plenty of water afterwards…

 DETOX DRINK

1-2 C of filtered water (we love our Berkey water filter)
2 tbsp ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar)
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp RAW honey with CBD (Pure Hemp Plus CBD Honey)

Rub a drop of peppermint oil at the base of your head…

    -helps with stuffy nose

CBD + MCT + MATCHA

Adding CBD to your morning routine can be as easy as adding a few drops to your Matcha Latte!
1 ½ tsp of Matcha powder (Matcha and Beyond)
2-3 drops of CBD (Pure Hemp Plus Very Active or At Ease)
1 tbsp Hot water
¾ c warm milk of choice (oat is yummy) and mix well…
 

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY SMOOTHIE

  ½ c coconut flesh
1 c frozen cherries
5-8 fresh basil leaves
1-2 c coconut water
1 tsp chia seeds or hemp seeds

Blend together and enjoy!

OREGANO

Oregano oil is the closest you’ll get to a natural antibiotic. Add 1-2 drops of Oregano oil to a carrier oil (coconut oil) and rub onto the soles of your feet, cover with socks. Repeat every two hours. You can also add a drop to a tsp of RAW honey at first sign of cold.

 

GARLIC

Raw garlic chopped in honey onto a tablespoon x4 a day. Great way to get into kids…
 

 

THE CLASSIC LEMON WATER

I like to drink warm lemon water (squeeze a whole lemon) with RAW honey (1 tbsp) and ginger in the am before my coffee (if you drink coffee).

Studies have found that honey has antimicrobial properties, this helps relieve your flu and cold symptoms.
